A 15-year-old Washington state boy accused of murdering his parents and three siblings inside their home was barred from contact with his only surviving sister during a hearing Tuesday.
The boy, whose name is not being released because of his age, waived his right to appear in court Tuesday for an initial hearing before Judge Patricia H. Clark Child and Family Justice Center in Seattle, the King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office said in a statement. did.
Prosecutors asked a judge to charge the teen with five counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted first-degree murder. The suspect's attorney said the boy had no criminal history. A charging decision is expected to be made later this week.
The judge also ordered the boy to have no contact with anyone who prosecutors said was a surviving next of kin.

The surviving family member, identified as an 11-year-old girl, was shot twice before fleeing her Fall City home in the early Monday morning shooting.
Law enforcement officials responded around 5 a.m. to reports of a shooting at the home and immediately took one teen into custody, and another injured boy was taken to a Seattle hospital. When officers entered the home, they found the bodies of two adults and three juveniles.

King County Sheriff's Office spokesman Mike Mellis said investigators believe the people killed were shot. Their names and causes of death have not yet been released.
The 11-year-old girl was in “satisfactory condition” at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle on Tuesday, hospital officials said. Police initially said the injured person was a teenage boy.
