Nearly 25 million voters have already cast their votes ahead of the November 5 vote.th The election, with early in-person voting and mail-in voting options, comes as Donald Trump and Kamala Harris continue their presidential campaigns in key battleground states.

In recent months, presidential poll numbers have remained essentially deadlocked in North Carolina, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, Georgia, and North Carolina until recently, when Mr. Trump took a narrow lead. And Arizona.

This election cycle has seen a record number of voters turn out, with more than 1.8 million Georgians already voting in a state that is expected to have a major impact on the race.

Georgia voters cast more than 313,000 in-person votes on the first day of early voting, marking a 123% increase on the first day compared to the previous single-day record in the state. Both North Carolina and South Carolina also set their own first-day voting records.

“We have reached another milestone,” said Gabriel Sterling, chief operating officer of the Georgia Secretary of State's Office.

“As of 1:30 p.m., 25.2% of eligible voters in Georgia had cast their ballots, representing more than one in four voters, with nine days left in the mandatory early voting period. “That's an amazing number. Congratulations to our county and our constituents who appreciate the county's efforts.”

Both sides have spent a tremendous amount of time and energy campaigning in Georgia, which in 2020 was decided by a margin of less than 1%.

President Trump recently said at an event in Georgia that “voting in Georgia is at record levels.” “Frankly, voting in every state is at record levels. We're doing very well and I hope we can rebuild this country.”

Early voting has been on the rise for the past two years, and this cycle is no different. However, early overall numbers are expected to be slightly down compared to the previous election cycle, which was held in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Early voting trends are important, but because the two parties have different voting trends, they cannot accurately predict which candidate will win the race.

Additionally, states do not reveal their vote totals until election night, so the leading candidates in the race remain an unknown mystery until then.

Both presidential candidates are scheduled to campaign in Georgia this week, with about two weeks until election night.

Ms. Harris is expected to campaign in Atlanta with former President Barack Obama, while Mr. Trump is expected to campaign in rural Georgia.

Early voting statistics in battleground states show 666,820 votes in Arizona, 1,690,702 votes in Georgia, 1,048,336 votes in Michigan, 1,381,184 votes in North Carolina, 260,052 votes in Nevada, 1,051,655 votes in Pennsylvania, and 1,051,655 votes in Wisconsin. It was revealed that 360,372 votes were cast. Associated Press.
