LeBron, Bronny James hit with lawsuit over 2022 car crash

Two women are suing LeBron and Bronny James over a car crash in California nearly two years ago.

April Almanza Lopez and Chiara Rae McGillen filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles County earlier this week alleging the father and son crashed on a freeway in Little Rock, Calif., in November 2022. According to TMZ.

The women claim they suffered injuries that still require medical treatment and that their car was damaged and its value decreased.

The lawsuit does not specify the amount of damages the women are seeking.

Bronny was selected 55th overall by the Lakers in the 2024 NBA Draft and made his professional debut alongside his father on Tuesday night in a game against the Timberwolves in Los Angeles.

Bronny entered the game in the second quarter and played for about three minutes.

They became the first father and son to share an NBA court.

“In that moment, we were at the scorer's table together, checking in together. That's a moment I'll never forget,” LeBron said after the game. “No matter how old I get, no matter how old my memory fades, I will never forget that moment.”

Not everyone was a fan of LeBron using his influence to get Bronny into the NBA game, and it seems like even before the 20-year-old was assigned to the NBA game based on his basketball talent.

“This could be fun for LeBron,” Chris Russo said on ESPN's “First Take” on Wednesday. “No American cares that Bronny James played three minutes and grabbed one rebound at 11 o'clock on Opening Day. This is supposed to be the moment that resonates with Americans, right?”

Le Batard on Wednesday's “The Dan Le Batard Show with Stagots.” claimed At that moment, I felt “made.”
