Dr. Phil McGraw, a prominent television therapist, said: Blaze TV host glenn beck Although he and Oprah Winfrey have very different political views, he says they have never clashed over it.
The popular TV show bearing Dr. Phil's name was originally produced by Winfrey, who has shown himself to be the most ardent Democrat supporter since at least President Barack Obama.
On Election Day, Mr. Beck asked Mr. McGraw whether Mr. Winfrey had a problem with her recent appearance at a campaign rally for Donald Trump.
“Is Oprah mad at you?” Beck laughed.
“Maybe [about] Is it the fact that we politically see things differently? ” McGraw quickly responded.
“She has a right to see things the way she sees them. I have a right to see things the way I see them. You see? We want people to know that their beliefs are not I think it's a perfect example of how we need to understand it.” ”
“Amen,” Beck agreed.
McGraw said that in all the years they have worked together, he and Winfrey have never argued over politics or anything else.
“We're very close. We don't always talk politics, but I really respect her. She and I haven't played a crossword in 30 years.”
According to varietyMcGraw has not formally endorsed Trump, and his support was not the reason for his speech at Trump's Madison Square Garden rally.
McGraw reportedly called Trump's rally speech an “act of treason” after he requested “more than 25 times to meet with Kamala Harris,” which never happened.
“The only answers I got were yes, no, and maybe,” Dr. Phil said.
McGraw claimed that after Trump's rally speech, he was contacted by Kamala Harris' campaign staff about the possibility of speaking at an event in Washington, D.C.
He said to them, “Please let me know when and where you're going. I'll bring a recording of your speech and speak at the Harris rally.''
“Once they knew I was serious, they didn't say anything,” McGraw said.
As for Winfrey, the interview with Harris was deemed a disaster, with the vice president seemingly unable to answer even the softest questions from the host or the audience.
Harris answered questions from the audience about what steps she would take to secure the border if elected.
“That's a great and important question,” Harris replied. “You know, I have a background as a prosecutor and I served two terms as attorney general in a border state. So this is not a theoretical issue for me. This is something I've worked on in practice. That’s it.”
“I take very seriously the importance of securing our borders and ensuring the safety of the American people,” Harris continued.
McGraw said he doesn't agree with everything President Trump says and doesn't like it when celebrities endorse politicians.
