The Fox News Decision Desk predicts that Democratic Rep. Kelly Armstrong will win the North Dakota gubernatorial race.
Armstrong, who holds North Dakota's only House seat, won Republican support earlier this year before defeating Lt. Gov. Tammy Miller in the June primary to become the Republican nominee. In the general election, Democratic candidate Merrill Piepkorn and independent candidate Michael Coachman objected.
Miller was running for the Republican presidential nomination and had the support of North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, who was also reported to be former President Trump's running mate.

Mr. Burgum served two terms but chose not to seek a third term. Armstrong was elected to the state House of Representatives in 2018 after serving in the state Senate. He is an attorney and former state Republican Party chairman.

Armstrong, who is scheduled to take office in mid-December, has the support of former President Donald Trump, who praised Armstrong for defending him in “two sham impeachments.”
“I fully and completely support Kelly Armstrong to be the next governor of the great state of North Dakota. He will not let you down,” Trump said on social media.
