Florida once again favored former President Donald Trump in the presidential election.
Florida voters supported Trump in 2016, 2020 and now in 2024. With 77% of the vote, NBC News and Fox News declared Trump the winner, with a 10-point lead at the time of this writing.

Additionally, Republicans outnumber Democrats in voter registration, with more than 1 million registered voters. This trend only began to take off in November 2021, when Republicans overtook Democrats for the first time in the history of the Sunshine State.
Florida has traditionally been a battleground state, but it doesn't seem that way this election cycle. Despite endorsing former President Barack Obama in both 2008 and 2012, Trump won the state by 1.2% in 2016 and 3.3% in 2020.
Notably, as of this writing, Trump led Harris in traditionally blue counties such as Miami-Dade and Duval by nearly 11 points and 0.01 percentage point, respectively.
