According to CNN Anchor Abby Phillips, reporting from the Harris Headquarters Watch Party at Howard University, said the Democratic team is “silent.”

“I think the operative word is silence,” Phillips reported. “There's not a lot being said, because the Harris team seems to be looking for bright spots on the map, and these results are coming in very, very slowly.”

She went on to say that as of the evening, her campaign had had a positive impact on the night's development, but that the energy had dropped since then.

Some of the “blue wall” states, such as Wisconsin, Georgia, and Pennsylvania, still had many large population centers that had not yet entered them at the time she made her observations.

“It's slowing down, especially in the metropolitan centers, as they dig deep into the numbers that are coming in and trying to understand what's left out there,” she said. .

Phillips also said Harris campaign manager Jen O'Malley Dillon sent her a memo saying the blue wall was their path and that it was so close and so slow that she would “see you tomorrow.”

According to NPRDeepa Sivaram, who also attended Harris' election watch party, said there was “some tension” in the crowd and within the campaign team. However, they are not considering dropping out of the race just yet.

Sivaram also noted that the atmosphere in the crowd had changed from a celebratory mood to one of “concentration.”
