Warren calls for pressing forward, taking 'opportunities to fight back'

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) urged Democrats to move forward and seize the “opportunity to fight back” despite President-elect Trump's victory over Vice President Harris in the 2024 U.S. presidential election. I called out.

“At this point, Donald Trump has won the election, and the consequences will be real and devastating, but I want to remind myself and all of you that there is still a lot of fighting back on the road ahead,” Warren said. “It's a reminder of the opportunities that exist.” released on wednesday.

“I can't say we're going to win all those battles,” she added. “I can’t say whether we’re going to win most of the games or even any of them, but when you get to each moment you’re faced with the choice of giving up or moving on. ”

Warren's video was released shortly after the White House race was called for the Republican candidate, who has so far won six of the seven battleground states, according to projections from Decision Desk headquarters.

Warren, who secured re-election by defeating Republican challenger John Deaton, said the “far right” was relying on Democratic Party infighting to hinder its ability to bring about “change.”

“They expect us to blame each other and lose faith in our ability to constantly make changes. I absolutely refused to give them that satisfaction. “We will continue to fight,” Warren said. Republicans failed to repeal the Affordable Care Act (ACA) during President Trump's first term in the White House.

“Don't let anyone tell you that these wins didn't make a huge difference,” the economic policy subcommittee chairman said in a video. “More people can afford to go to the doctor and get prescriptions written, more people can go to work, more parents can afford to put food on the table for their children. It became.”

Warren's reaction differed from that of fellow Senate progressive Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-Vermont), who criticized Democrats on Wednesday and accused them of abandoning the working class.

“It's not really surprising that the Democratic Party, which has abandoned working-class people, now realizes that the working class has abandoned them,” Sanders said.

“While Democratic leadership defends the status quo, the American people are angry and want change. And they are right,” he said.
