Ex-Giants coach Wink Martindale shades team amid woeful season

Wink Martindale is clearly New York Giants.

The former defensive coordinator, who accepted the same role with the Michigan Wolverines this season, made the announcement in a press conference Wednesday.

Asked about his plans to continue coaching, Martindale said: “I haven't really thought long term.” college football.

The final deciding factor was a series of layoffs, which Martindale reportedly wasn't happy about.

The New York Post reported at the time that Mr. Martindale had an explosive confrontation with Mr. Daboll and subsequently resigned.

At 5-4, the Wolverines aren't much better off, although they're not 2-7, which is what Martindale expected this season.
