Evangelist Franklin Graham said Wednesday that he believes God saved former President Donald Trump's life from an assassin's bullet so he could regain the White House. Mr. Graham's remarks came hours after Mr. Trump himself raised the possibility of divine intervention to the nation on election night. Trump regained the presidency thanks to strong performances in the South, Southwest and industrial heartland.
“Many people have said to me that God spared my life for a reason, and that reason was to save my country and make America great again,” Trump said in his victory speech. , we are committed to fulfilling that mission together.” “We will fulfill that mission.”
Graham repeated these comments during his appearance. Piers Morgan uncensored. Graham said there was “no question” that God intervened. Graham is president of Samaritan's Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
“I believe that when he was in Pennsylvania and the bullet went through his ear and hit his brain by just a millimeter or so, God turned his head at that exact moment to save his life.” said Graham. “So there's no other explanation. And then there were other assassins waiting for him on the golf course and they were able to screw it up. I believe it was God. There's no doubt in my mind that God saved him and put him in this position. ”
Trump was elected president about four months after he survived an assassination attempt during which a gunman attempted to end his life while speaking at a rally in Pennsylvania while sitting on a rooftop. Just before the bullet hit its target, President Trump tilted his head slightly to the right, causing the bullet to miss his ear but miss his brain.
“I think God protected him and saved him for a very special job,” Graham added. “And it's about turning this country around and turning it back to God. When he won last night, it was a victory for freedom, for free speech, for American farmers, for the oil and gas industry. It's a victory for the coal industry. [for] so many people [including] I think of the unborn children, the millions of children who will be saved in the coming years because of Donald Trump. ”
