A University of Oregon employee has been placed on administrative leave after he made abusive comments on social media about Trump supporters, including saying he wanted them to “jump off a goddamn bridge.”
“If you vote for Donald Trump, you can literally drive yourself crazy,” Leonard Cerrato, assistant director of the university's fraternity and sorority life, said in the video clip. “If you're so sad about expensive groceries, get a better paying job. Live a better life. Get the best education. Do something. Because you're stupid.”
“I want you to jump off that goddamn bridge,” Serrato added, showing a peace sign.
Cerrato reportedly shared the rant on his public Instagram page. daily emeraldUO student newspaper. He has since made his page private.

Cerrato did not respond to requests for comment.
University spokeswoman Angela Seidel told Fox News Digital in an emailed statement that the school “recognizes that the statements made in the video are abhorrent and inconsistent with our values and mission. We appreciate the contradiction between his statements and his role in student life at the university.” , and our organizational values. ”

In addition to placing Cerrato on administrative leave, the university is currently investigating “matters based on university policy and the individual's role as a public servant,” according to a spokesperson.

Ahead of the election, the university has developed a plan to help students experiencing election-related stress. This included bringing therapy dogs, goats and ducks to campus to provide additional counseling services, local media reported.
