The second half of the 2024 NFL season sees the race for the playoffs begin, but everything is still up in the air.
With injuries on the rise across the league, it remains to be seen which teams can best ride the late-game flow, navigate the slide and find a way to compete with depth.
The two games circling on the Week 10 calendar are; sunday night football A matchup between the Texans and Lions, two of the hottest young teams in the league. Houston is currently assured of winning the AFC South and the Lions appear to have the key to winning the NFC North, but this is a good litmus test for both teams as they approach the postseason.
The other one is Steelers vs. Commanders, which I hope will be a good old-fashioned smash-mouth defense game punctuated by some big plays. This is another solid test for Washington, which wants to prove it can be considered one of the best teams in the NFL this season.
