Auburn basketball flight turns around as players fight on plane

When Flight Club meets Fight Club.

According to multiple reports, the No. 11 Auburn Tigers basketball program was involved in some type of skirmish in the air as the team was en route to Houston, home of the No. 4 team in the nation, on a team plane.

WBRC in Alabama reported The team reportedly fought on the plane and the plane changed course minutes after takeoff in the afternoon.

Asked about the “level of threat” that necessitated the emergency landing, the pilot replied:Many basketball players are competing.

The plane returned to Auburn about 40 minutes after takeoff, according to FlightAware.

Basketball analyst John Goodman added that there was “horse racing between players” on the flight.

ESPN reported The problem on the plane was resolved before anything “significant” happened.
