Elon Musk snapped in SpaceX shoes as he heads to Mar-a-Lago 

On Friday, billionaire Elon Musk was spotted wearing a unique pair of shoes as he stepped off a plane in Palm Beach, Florida, en route to President-elect Donald Trump's White House transition center.

Dressed head to toe in black, the world's richest man wore sneakers emblazoned with the distinctive logo of SpaceX, the rocket company he founded in 2002.

After landing at Palm Beach International Airport, Musk, 53, was driven to Trump's Mar-a-Lago mansion.

The president-elect, who unveiled his “official sneakers” earlier this year, is working on personnel for the incoming administration behind closed doors at Mar-a-Lago after his landslide victory over Vice President Kamala Harris on Tuesday.

Musk, who supported Trump (78) as a presidential candidate after the July 13 assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania. At the next president's side Tuesday night in Palm Beach after the election results came in.

The heads of X, Tesla and SpaceX joined President Trump on Wednesday for a phone call between the president-elect and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.

Axios reported that Zelenskiy described his call with Trump as “great” but was surprised to learn that Musk also answered the call.

During his campaign, Trump frequently hinted that Musk could play a key role in his administration.

“There's a new position called Secretary of Cost Reduction, and Elon wants that,” Trump said in an interview with Fox Business last month.

Musk's recent visit to Mar-a-Lago came a day after the president-elect named campaign co-chair Susie Wiles as the next White House chief of staff.

Wiles will be the first female White House chief of staff in U.S. history.
