ESPN star Kirk Herbstreit rips ‘clowns’ for throwing garbage on field during LSU-Alabama game

ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit blamed the fans who threw trash onto the field during LSU's loss to Alabama on Saturday night.

College football fans have been seen throwing trash on the field at various games during the season. The fans packed into Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, looked no different than fans in any other environment, and Herbstreit seemed tired of it.

“Why does it need to be talked about this year?” he asked on air. new york post. “We had idiots doing this in Texas, and now all of a sudden we're seeing it in college football. Enough is enough, clowns.

“It's just…what are you doing…this is just stupid.”

Herbstreit's remarks came in the third quarter of a game LSU lost 21-6. A penalty was called for LSU after a defender sacked Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe. An LSU defender apparently grabbed Milroe's facemask.

The game was stopped after fans littered the field with water bottles.

The broadcast showed cheerleaders protecting their heads with signs as trash rained down.

“It's great. It's your home cheerleader,” he added. “It's embarrassing for LSU and it's embarrassing for college football across the country, but enough is enough.”
