The Big Ten Conference got the best storyline of the weekend as Oregon State and Ohio State pulled away from the pack with big wins over their opponents.
Dillon Gabriel's Ducks defeated Maryland 39-18, and Ohio State shut out Purdue 45-0. Both teams' dominant performances influenced Associated Press Top 25 voters, placing them in first and second place, respectively. It will be interesting to see where they land in the next College Football Playoff rankings.
Indiana State and BYU maintained perfect records as well. The Hoosiers are also looking to earn a top spot in the CFP, but the Cougars are still guaranteed a bye when their next projected ranking is revealed.
Well, the final month of the regular season has begun.

colorado: After Saturday's win over Texas Tech, Deion Sanders is taking control of his team's destiny, improving to 7-2 on the season and heading into the Big 12 title game. Overall, this means the Buffaloes can make the College Football Playoff. Travis Hunter's play was amazing and secured him a spot in the Heisman Trophy ceremony. Colorado currently has three winnable games and should be in the conference title game. This is one of the best turnarounds in college football this season, but it's not over yet. The offense, led by Shedur Sanders, played well, and the defense didn't back down from the challenge. Now, the buffs are in the driver's seat.
Alabama: So, after two losses this season, did you think it was over for the Crimson Tide? Well, let's think again. After a dominant performance against LSU on Saturday, this team is primed for a playoff berth thanks to a ferocious defense and quarterback Jalen Milroe. Now, the SEC tiebreaker scenario will likely keep them out of the title game, but that doesn't matter at this point. Karen DeBoer gives this team a boost, and if she shows the kind of offensive outburst she saw against the Tigers, she'll feel sorry for the teams remaining on the schedule. Alabama is back to being what it used to be.
Ole Miss: Ole Miss shut out No. 2 Georgia in front of a record-setting crowd of 68,125, giving the Rebels their third straight win. Ole Miss recorded five sacks, nine lost tackles, four forced fumbles, one interception and held Georgia to 59 yards rushing. Quarterback Jackson Dart was 13-of-22 for 199 yards, one touchdown and one interception in a 28-10 victory over the Bulldogs.
Indiana: Curt Cignetti and the Hoosiers are finally getting the respect they deserve. The team defeated the University of Michigan 20-15, their second win since 1988. Indiana University also won 10 games for the first time in school history. A big game against Ohio State awaits in Week 12.

Dillon Gabriel: Oregon State quarterback Dillon Gabriel helped the Ducks beat Maryland, setting an FBS all-time record for touchdown passes. Gabriel has 179 career touchdowns, passing Case Keenum, who set the mark in Houston. He scored three touchdowns against the Terps.
rutgers: Rutgers ended a disastrous four-game losing streak to salvage its bowl game hopes, showing some determination along the way while dealing with key injuries.

miami: Hurricanes, what are you doing? For most of this season, Miami's defense has flexed but never collapsed. Well, the dam finally broke on Saturday against Georgia Tech. The Hurricanes are currently in a strange situation, unable to afford another lapse. That includes the conference title game, which would be two losses on an already fragile schedule.
georgia: What happened to quarterback Carson Beck and this Georgia offense? They're currently coming off a loss to Ole Miss and slinking away. This team looks like a deer in the headlights and has a lot to fix before facing Tennessee this week. Turnovers are important, and if Kirby Smart doesn't come up with a solution to this offense, he will be eliminated from the postseason.

LSU: The Tigers simply lost on Saturday. It was embarrassing to see “College GameDay” blown hours after it aired from campus, and CFP's hopes were over. Good luck next season, everyone.
florida: No team in recent memory has fallen as far as Florida State. Every week, fans learn how big the historically devastating turning point that eliminated them from the playoffs last year really was for the program.
Carson Beck draft stock: The top quarterbacks in this year's draft class haven't burst into college football headlines in recent weeks, but their stock continues to drop as Beck throws yet another interception, marking his fourth straight week with one interception. I am doing it. In the 28-10 loss to Ole Miss, Beck went just 20-of-31 for no touchdowns. Since starting the season with seven touchdowns to no interceptions, Beck has given up 12 picks for 10 touchdowns, a ratio no NFL team wants. From a potential franchisor's perspective.
