House majority hinges on 18 uncalled races, with Republicans just 4 seats away

There are 18 races remaining in the House yet to be called, and Republicans need to win just four races to secure control of the chamber.

As of Monday, here are the standings for each of these close games.

alaska

large district

Democratic Party incumbent Rep. Mary Sattler Pertra He is running behind Republican entrepreneur Nick Begich in a close race in Alaska's large congressional district.

As of Monday morning, Mr. Begich had 49.5% of the vote and Mr. Peltola had 45.5%, giving him a four-point lead. The number of votes was 125,222 to 115,089, or about 80% of the votes counted.

arizona

6th Congressional District

The race in Arizona's 6th Congressional District is a close one, with the Republican candidate narrowly leading.

Republican Rep. Juan Siscomani, in his first term, narrowly leads former Democratic state Rep. Kirsten Engel with 49.1% to 48.5% of the vote as of Monday morning. The number of votes was 180,913 to 178,820, for a vote count rate of 83%.

California

13th Congressional District

Republican Rep. John Duarte leads former Democratic state Rep. Adam Gray in California's 13th Congressional District, but the hotly contested race has not yet been called as of Monday.

Approximately 61% of the votes were counted, with Duarte receiving 51.3% to 48.8%. But the difference between the two is just over 3,000 votes.

21st Congressional District

As of Monday morning, incumbent Democratic Rep. John Costa leads Republican challenger Michael Maher 50.5% to 49.5% of the vote.

The vote count so far has been 66%, giving Costa a lead of just over 1,000 votes.

22nd Congressional District

As of Monday, Republican incumbent Rep. David Barado leads Democratic challenger Rudy Salas with 53.6% to 46.6% of the vote. With 77% of votes counted, Mr. Balad maintains a lead of just under 10,000 votes.

39th Congressional District

As of Monday, Democratic incumbent Rep. Mark Takano held a 12-point lead over Republican challenger David Serpa. With 70% of votes counted, Takano has a lead of 21,000 votes.

41st Congressional District

Incumbent Republican Rep. Ken Calvert holds a 51.4% to 48.6% lead over Democratic challenger Will Rollins. As of Monday, about 70% of the votes had been counted, giving Calvert a lead of about 8,000 votes.

45th Congressional District

As of Monday, incumbent Republican Rep. Michelle Steele led Democratic challenger Derek Tran with 51.1% of the vote. The vote count was about 80%, giving Steele a lead of about 6,000 votes.

47th Congressional District

The race to succeed the retiring Democratic Party Congresswoman Katie Porter California's 47th Congressional District is also very thin.

Republican Scott Baugh, a former state representative, and Democratic state Sen. Dave Minn are vying for the open seat, with Minn leading by less than 1%.

The vote count was about 80%, and Min's lead was just over 3,000 votes.

49th Congressional District

As of Monday morning, Democratic incumbent Rep. Mike Levin held a 3-point lead over Republican challenger Matt Gunderson.

With 77% of votes counted, Levin has a lead of about 11,000 votes.

colorado

8th Congressional District

Rep. Yadira Caraveo, The Democrat trails Republican state Rep. Gabe Evans by less than 1 percentage point in Colorado's 8th Congressional District, with 96% of votes counted.

iowa

1st Congressional District

Incumbent Republican Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks has a lead of less than 1 percentage point over challenger Christina Bohanan, with 99 percent of votes counted. Miller-Meeks' lead is just under 1,000 votes.

louisiana

6th Congressional District

There is no incumbent in the 6th District, with Democratic candidate Cleo Fields leading Republican challenger Elbert Guillory by 13 points with 99% of the vote. As of Monday, Fields' lead was just under 49,000 votes.

maine

2nd Congressional District

As of Monday, Democratic incumbent Jared Golden held a narrow lead over Republican challenger Austin Theriault.

With 98% of votes counted, Golden's lead remains at less than 800 votes.

ohio

9th Congressional District

With 99% of votes counted, Democratic incumbent Marcy Capture leads Republican challenger Derek Melin by less than one point. As of Monday, Captur had received just over 1,000 votes.

Oregon

5th Congressional District

With 87% of votes counted Monday, incumbent Republican Rep. Lori Chavez Delemer is trailing Democratic challenger Janelle Bynum by nearly three points.

Bynum's lead is just over 10,000 votes.

washington

4th Congressional District

Incumbent Republican Rep. Dan Newhouse holds a 5-point lead over Democratic challenger Jerrod Sessler with 84% of votes counted.

As of Monday morning, Newhouse's lead was just over 12,000 votes.
