Former ICE Director Tom Homan, who was recently named President-elect Donald Trump's border czar, appeared on FNC's “Fox & Friends” on Monday. Secure our borders and limit the influx of immigrants that have burdened the country in recent years.
Homan had powerful words about his role after Trump takes office early next year.
“[I]”If you're not going to help us, get out of our way,” he said. “If we don't get help from New York City, and I might, we might have to double the number of agents we send to New York City, because we're going to do the job. So, work without you or with you. But as I said, it's much easier to arrest bad guys. We're dealing with human and national security threats. We're focused, but it's much easier to catch bad guys in prison.”
“Please allow us access to Rikers, where we were kicked out,” Homan added. “Let's put the bad guys in jail. It's safer for the foreigners. It's safer for the police. It's safer for the community. If you release these bad guys into the community, we… has to go looking for them, and that puts the officer at risk. It puts the community at risk.”
