Senator Rick Scott Is a Majority Leader for the American People

Sen. Rick Scott (R-Florida) has faced and overcome significant challenges in both his life and career.

He grew up in public housing as his mother and father struggled to pay the bills and support their family. After serving in the U.S. Navy, he used the GI Bill to attend the University of Missouri and eventually opened his first business, a donut shop. He went on to become the owner of one of the world's largest health care companies and later became the 45th governor of Florida.

As governor, Scott championed more than $10 billion in tax cuts and paid off Florida's $10 billion state debt. He fully understands the value of fiscal responsibility from a personal, professional and government perspective. His hard work benefited Floridians, and now all Americans.

As a U.S. senator, Scott championed fiscal consolidation and debt reduction at every turn. In April 2023, when President Joe Biden refused to even negotiate a debt ceiling deal for more than 90 days, it was clear that the radical left intended to continue spending at breakneck speed and make Americans suffer the consequences.

During these negotiations, Mr. Scott worked with the House Freedom Caucus and senators to fight to control spending, cut waste, and lower costs while responsibly addressing the debt ceiling. his negotiation, 2023 Limit, Save and Grow Law; This repeals the excessive taxation and overspending of the Biden-Harris administration and the radical left.

Out-of-control spending has dramatically increased the cost of living in Washington, and Americans can no longer afford to pay for gas, groceries, utilities, and day care. The national debt will exceed $36 trillion this month. it is Over $107,345 per person.

The United States Senate cannot be led by someone who only wants a title. We need a majority leader who understands the needs of the American people and has a proven track record of fighting for them.

Rick Scott is different from many other congressmen in DC in that he actually does the work and gets things done. That's why he is so valuable. No one gets everything they want in Washington. It's very difficult. But Rick Scott has repeatedly found ways to get members of Congress to “buy in” on really difficult and intractable issues, like the debt ceiling. I never voted to raise the debt ceiling until Rick Scott became the negotiator. It wasn't until my career as a legislator that I was able to say yes to the debt ceiling.

Senator Scott will focus on balancing the budget, paying off the federal debt, reducing the size of government, reducing regulation, and simplifying the approval process. In this election, the American people spoke loud and clear. They don't want to talk or boss around anymore. They gave us the mandate to carry out Trump policy. Sen. Rick Scott will accomplish that as U.S. Senate Majority Leader.

Scott Perry represents Pennsylvania's 10th District in the U.S. House of Representatives.
