Trump Announces John Ratcliffe As CIA Director

47th President-elect Donald Trump announced that former Texas congressman and Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe will return to the executive branch as director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

On Tuesday, President Trump released a statement announcing Ratcliffe's return.

President Trump said, “From exposing the fake Russian collusion as a work of the Clinton campaign to exposing FBI abuses in FISA court, John Ratcliffe was always a fighter for truth and integrity for the American people. ” he said.

“When 51 intelligence officials were lying about Hunter Biden's laptop, one John Ratcliffe told the American people the truth,” Trump continued.

Before working for Mr. Trump and taking over the U.S. intelligence community in May 2020, Mr. Ratcliffe served as a congressman from suburban Dallas, Texas, for more than five years.
