A Texas man and woman have been charged with stabbing to death a man who lived with them in an apartment building.
Leo Moore and Haley Barber, both 20 years old, are charged with capital murder in the murder of Johnny Mack Ross Jr.
Moore and Barber, who lived with Ross, reportedly killed him, wrapped him in rugs and sheets, stole his car, and led police on a chase through Garland, a suburb east of Dallas. Ru.

“It's been several days. It appears that the stabbing did not occur that morning,” Garland Police Lt. Pedro Barrineau said. “We are working with the coroner to determine how long the person has been dead.”
Surveillance video showed the couple entering and leaving the apartment around the time Ross was apparently stabbed to death.
Neighbors said the couple lived in the condominium with Ross, and that a strong odor had been coming from the house for several days, and the odor got worse as the days went by.

One neighbor, Dylan Meadows, told FOX 4 he heard unusually loud noises coming from the apartment. Other neighbors echoed the same sentiment.
“I heard them getting into it a few times last week,” Meadows said.
Meadows spoke positively of Ross, whom he has known for only six months.
“I used to go fishing all the time,” Meadows said. “He would come over and sit there and fish with us. He would often bring us food and sit on the grill. He was a really cool guy and did.”

Others told FOX 4 there was high-risk activity associated with the condo.
“There's still a lot of information that detectives are trying to uncover,” Barrineau said.
Moore and Barber allegedly stole Ross' 2001 Mercedes before leading police on a chase. They are being held without bail at the Garland Detention Center.
