A group of five masked robbers stole more than $64,000 worth of jewelry, Gucci products and other loot from the backs of UPS and FedEx trucks, police and sources said.
The series of thefts began on April 1 at around 7:45 p.m., when a robber attacked a UPS truck on West 48th Street near Sixth Avenue in Midtown, just a short walk from Rockefeller Center, authorities said. It started from.
Police said the suspect stuffed 84 items into bags during the robbery, but it was unclear what was inside or the value of the items inside.
Then, on May 10, two brazen crooks broke into a FedEx truck parked on Washington Street near West 13th Street in the Meatpacking District, just below the High Line, in broad daylight, police said.
Police said they snatched eight Gucci boxes containing about $29,730 in designer loot from the truck during the robbery at 12:20 p.m.
In another robbery on June 4 at about 5:45 p.m., again on West 45th Street near Fifth Avenue in Midtown, two robbery suspects allegedly used burglary tools to break into a UPS truck. announced by the authorities.
Police said two criminal associates acted as lookouts and they grabbed bags containing at least $100 worth of jewelry, described as “precious metals.”
The next robbery occurred on June 7, when one robber stole 122 packages worth about $12,000 from a UPS truck on Madison Avenue near East 55th Street, authorities and officials said. It is said that he snatched a clear plastic bag from the police.
According to police, around 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 15, a man and woman accompanying a lookout used burglary tools to pry open the door of a UPS truck on 47th Street near 30th Street in Long Island City. Months have passed.

Then, around noon on Oct. 18, another lone robber broke into a locked UPS truck on Ludlow Street near Stanton Street on the Lower East Side, police said.
The brazen robber made off with a package containing nine Apple iPhones, two Android phones and an Apple Watch, worth a total of about $9,500, authorities said.
In the Halloween robbery, one robber broke into a locked UPS truck while two others stood guard on Fifth Avenue near Ninth Avenue in Park Slope around 10:15 a.m. , the police announced.
Police said they fled with a bag containing about $13,450 worth of Apple products.
Finally, around 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 5, one robber attacked another UPS truck on Fifth Avenue near 13th Street, also in Park Slope, police said.
Police said the man took two packages and fled. The value of the hidden assets is unknown.
No arrests had been made by Friday.
