Sylvester Stallone calls Trump America’s ‘second George Washington’

Hollywood icon Sylvester Stallone called President-elect Donald Trump 'America's'second george washingtonHe made the remarks in a short speech introducing Trump at the America First Institute for Policy Studies gala Thursday night at the Mar-a-Lago Club.

Stallone began by describing the first scene of the legendary film Rocky, in which an image of Jesus comes into view, and as the camera pans out, the audience sees the text written beneath the image of Christ. “And in that moment, he was the chosen one, and that's how I started my journey,” Stallone continued. “Something was going to happen. This man was going to transform and change his life, just like President Trump.”

After the audience's applause died down, Stallone added: “We're really in front of a mythical figure. I love mythology. And this person doesn't exist on this earth. No one in the world could pull off something like this. I couldn't have done that.” [Trump] I am in awe as I am separated. ”

The actor concluded: “Let me say this, and I mean it: When George Washington defended his country, he never thought he would change the world. Because you can imagine what that would be like. Guess what? Congratulations on getting your second George Washington!

Deadline reported Stallone has previously remained silent about who he supported politically during the 2016, 2020 and 2024 election cycles. According to the outlet, Stallone suggested he did not vote in the past two presidential elections.
