For the second week in a row, a district game was won by blocking a field goal.
This time, the Green Bay Packers blocked Chicago Bears kicker Cairo Santos' winning goal from 46 yards out and won 20-19 as time expired.
Last week, the Kansas City Chiefs had a blocked field goal against the Denver Broncos, preserving their undefeated season. And just like in this game, all of the rookie quarterback's great drives in crunch time were for nothing.

Caleb Williams was looking for his first game-winning drive and made several clutch throws to get his team within field goal range, including a back-shoulder fade to fellow rookie Roman Odunze for a 21-yard gain on a fourth-and-3. I got close to it. Keep the drive.
However, just as Santos was about to make the winning field goal, Carl Brooks came through the line, picked up the ball and kept the kick short, giving his team the victory.

The Packers improved to 7-3 this year, while the Bears fell to 4-6.
Green Bay has won 11 straight against Chicago. The Bears haven't beaten the Packers since 2018.
The reason Green Bay won before the block was because Jordan Love & Co. made a big five-point drive on offense with 4:17 left in the fourth quarter. Love was able to penetrate deep into Chicago's territory after Christian Watson stretched out and took a pass that ran 60 yards to the Bears' own 14-yard line.

Love then scrambled outside the pocket and rushed for 13 yards, trying to stretch toward the pylon but falling one yard short. However, after a failed challenge, Matt LaFleur snuck the ball in from 1 yard left for Love to take the lead, but the two-point conversion to make it three points failed.
Love didn't throw much in the game, going 13-of-17, but he did gain 261 yards with one touchdown pass to Jaden Reed at the start of the game. Love was also exposed.
On the ground, Josh Jacobs had 76 yards on 18 carries and 58 receiving yards.
