Desperate family and friends of a pregnant mother of four who went missing in Indiana last month are hoping to rally support to bring her and possibly her newborn child home. .
Emma Bohm, 25, was last seen at her boyfriend's home in Gary, Indiana, on October 10, according to her family. She was pregnant at the time and was due to give birth in the next few days.
“We're looking for our sister,” Baum's sister, Abigail Smith, said at a news conference Friday. “She was 1 centimeter dilated on October 4th. She has been missing since October 10th. “I'm working on it,” he said.
“We have done everything we can at this point, so we ask for the public's cooperation from now on.”
Emma's mother, Jamie Baum, believes her daughter's boyfriend had something to do with her sudden disappearance.
“I want my daughter home. I miss her. Her children need her. Her family needs her,” she said at a press conference. .
Emma's boyfriend was later taken into custody in connection with an unrelated case of failure to appear on a warrant, Gary Police Chief Jack Hamady said.
Emma's missing person report wasn't filed until October 28, 18 days after she was last seen at her boyfriend's home.
Police said their searches would focus on three main locations identified during the investigation, with a focus on searching for old video footage of the area where Emma was last seen.
The young mother is approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs approximately 136 pounds. She is naturally a brunette, although she frequently wears wigs and various hairpieces.
“We love you, Emma. And if you can hear us, you've never done anything to make any of us stop loving you. . We believe someone knows something and we want her to come home,” Smith said.
