You’ll never guess who Jase Robertson baptized in his pool last week

Jace Robertson He loves hunting ducks, playing golf with his brothers, and rooting for the LSU Tigers, but there's nothing he loves more than seeing people come to know Jesus.

Last week, Jace got to do what he loves best: baptizing 49ers offensive lineman Colton Mackiewicz as a new brother in Christ in his backyard pool.

“This story is incredible,” he says.

Mackiewicz grew up watching “Duck Dynasty” and attending church, but it wasn't until recently that he decided to take the final step and get baptized.

This decision was inspired by none other than an episode of the podcast Unshamed.

“You guys [were] We were talking about being baptized and what it meant, and I knew it was time,” Mackiewicz told Jace.

Makiewicz connected with Robertson through a mutual friend, and before he knew it, he was scheduled to be baptized by his childhood hero every Sunday.

When Jace asked Mackiewicz, “What's your confession?” he said the linebacker's response was “one of the greatest confessional speeches.” [he’s] I heard it. ”

“He basically just shared the gospel with Jesus and ended by saying, 'I'm ready for him to be the Lord of my life,'” Jace recalled.

And when Jace dropped the 6-foot-6, 300-pound Mackiewicz into the water of an icy pool, he knew he had to rely on the Holy Spirit to pull him up.

“It worked,” he laughed.

But the baptism was not over. Mackiewicz's father was actually the next person to be baptized.
