Paul Thiel, who had a recurring role on “One Tree Hill,” passed away last Friday. He was 35 years old.
Thiel's partner Emilia Torello confirmed the actor's death. he said in a heartbreaking Instagram post on Sunday.
“The most thoughtful, inspirational, driven, self-disciplined and loving man passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024,” Torero wrote, along with several photos of the late TV actor. I wrote it with

“Paul, you were my soulmate, my soon-to-be husband, my rock, and my future,” she wrote. “You filled my lungs with laughter, my stomach with butterflies, and my heart with love.”
“You were always captured in battles you fought bravely and too soon,” she added.
Torello said: [her] “I died with him,” but she promised to find joy in life, just as he lived “every day.”
“The world is lucky to have had the pleasure of spending some time with Paul Thiel, and I am the luckiest man in it, because I got to call you mine. I will forever I love you,” she concluded.
Thiel's former CW co-star Bethany Joy Lentz paid tribute to Thiel he said in a statement on Instagram on Sunday.
“My heart is heavy. Paul Thiel was the kind of man who could light up a room without trying. His bright smile, contagious laugh, and kind heart made you want to be around him.” ” she wrote in a lengthy post honoring his memory.
Lentz, who played Hayley James on all nine seasons of OTH, said they worked “closely” with Thiel for several months when they co-produced the musical The Notebook in 2006.

“He was shy and funny and so comfortable on stage. Oh, like his second skin. You couldn't take your eyes off him,” she said.
Lentz helped cast Thiel as a “sleazy movie star” named Josh Avery when he was asked to direct an episode of One Tree Hill.
“Paul's understated sense of humor and willingness to fully immerse himself in any character made him a perfect fit for the role,” she said. “He was a pleasure to work with in any environment and a very generous person.”
Lentz said they had been in touch “off and on,” but wished they had communicated more.
“If you meant to call but got distracted, you could have called again and again. Life is short, and I've been thinking about it all this week. Life is short,” she said. .

Thiel appeared in seven episodes of the teen drama in 2010. On the show, he played the love interest of Jana Kramer's character Alex Dupre, but through his character development, it was later revealed that Josh was gay.
