The union representing Democratic National Committee (DNC) staff is extremely upset about the layoffs that typically occur after an election loss.
The firing of union members is the latest example of Democrats attacking the working class while protecting the donor base.
Committee leaders are trying to save face from major Democratic donors after Vice President Kamala Harris claimed victory in the presidential election.
According to the DNC employees union, after the incident, the DNC gave temporary employees and some permanent employees one day's notice without notice of termination.
“DNC leadership has refused to disclose to the DNC Employees Union the full scope of these reductions and whether additional reductions are planned,” the DNC Employees Union said. Posted X points out that Harris has raised a whopping $1 billion.
“If they want to be the party of workers, they should respect workers more. The way they talk about workers lacks authenticity, and clearly voters feel the same way.” said a regular DNC official. Axios continuation:

- A current DNC official told Axios: People are blindsided by this… I have completely lost faith in the Democratic Party, but I still work for them. ”
The DNC believes layoffs are a “harsh reality” that workers must accept.
“The harsh reality of our industry is that each cycle, political organizations expand in size to meet demand, and as the cycle comes to a close, they must part with talented, hard-working staff. ” a DNC spokesperson told Axios. “While the DNC is meeting the terms of the union agreement negotiated by the CBA, we share the frustration of the entire DNC family and continue to provide resources to all members of our team to support this transition.” .”
