The 2025 Women's Sports Awards has announced that Caitlin Clarke will be its featured speaker early next year.
Burns and McDonnell will be presenters at the event on February 4th at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City. This is the region's largest annual fundraiser for National Girls and Women's Sports Day.
Clark was excited to announce his appearance.
“Sports has played a vital role in my life, helping me develop important skills such as teamwork, resilience and confidence that will benefit me on and off the court,” Clark said in a statement.
“WIN for KC is a great champion of creating opportunities for girls and women through sport, and I’m thrilled to be joining them to celebrate those who are making an impact,” Clark added.
Tickets for the event will go on sale on November 20th.
Clark was the Indiana Fever's No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft and was named Rookie of the Year, making him one of the hottest rookies in WNBA history this season. Clark became the first rookie to be named to the All-WNBA First Team since 2008 and one of only five rookies to earn this honor.
She also starred in college for the Iowa Hawkeyes, appearing in the Big Ten Championship three years in a row and making history as the first college player to surpass 3,000 points, 750 rebounds and 750 assists.
