Bucks County citizens take day off work to destroy election officials in person

On Wednesday, the Bucks County Commission meeting The recount of the U.S. Senate race between incumbent Bob Casey (D) and Dave McCormick (R) was filled with citizens fed up with Democratic officials' alleged attempts to count illegal ballots. Ta.

Committee Chairwoman Diane Ellis Marseglia (D) made comments last week that appeared to effectively confirm plans to count undated and misdated mail-in ballots in direct defiance of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court's orders. After that, residents showed up en masse and criticized the committee chairman.

“I have decided to file criminal charges against you both.”

“People break the law whenever they want,” Ellis Marseglia said. “So for me, if I'm going to violate this law, it's because I want the court to take notice. There's nothing more important than counting the votes.”

After the state Supreme Court again ruled Monday that such ballots cannot be counted, Ellis Marseglia recanted her earlier statements, claiming they were taken out of context.

She blamed “misunderstanding” [an] “My statement was carelessly worded,” he said, and apologized to voters for causing “upset and confusion.”

But Ellis Marseglia's brief apology wasn't enough for Bucks County residents who showed up in droves Wednesday to accuse her of attempting to break the law.

Before the public comment section began, Ellis-Marseglia apologized again, as if overcome with emotion and remorse, or as if she were trying to appear so. Residents interrupted her with boos and jeers. At times, Ellis-Marseglia's attempts at a sincere tone appeared to momentarily turn into frustration with the crowd.

“Last Thursday, when I told the gathering that you were all gathered here, the passion in my heart got the better of me. I apologize again for that,” she told residents.

Ellis-Marseglia argued that many people don't realize she's referring to provisional ballots, not mail-in ballots.

“Having said this, I know it's confusing and it doesn't surprise me that these issues are being conflated,” Ellis Marseglia said.

“My choice of words was poor,” she admitted, but quickly pivoted and said her statement had been “cut out.”

Elise Marseglia declared that it was “taken out of context” and silenced the audience, who reacted cynically to her remarks.

“I've been contacted by literally hundreds of people, and to be honest, they all contained horrible, horrible expletives,” she claimed. “A lot of it involved threats not only against my life, but against people who work in this county.”

Ellis-Marseglia told residents that everyone is saying things “out of order” and that as an elected official, he is held to “a much higher standard than anyone else.” I felt dissatisfied.

Someone in the crowd responded by calling on her to resign.

“When I carelessly speak and use the word “precedent'' when talking about provisional voting, I am referring to the U.S. Supreme Court and its lost precedent on many issues, including Roe v. Wade. ” said Ellis Marseglia. .

Many in the crowd sneered. Ellis-Marselia chuckled, then banged the gavel to silence the room.

She concluded her speech by saying she didn't think she could apologize anymore, adding that this meeting was her only chance to set the record straight.

The meeting then proceeded to public comment.

of first speaker In a shocking statement, he announced that he plans to file criminal charges against Ellis Marseglia and Vice Chair Robert Harvey Jr.

“But Diane is actually right. Laws don't matter in this country anymore because people like you are breaking them all the time. And we the people can't sit here and complain. I just say,” the resident said.

“I'm not going to hold back any longer,” she declared. “I have decided to file criminal charges against both of you for violating the following laws: Title 25, Section 3050, Title 25, Section 3501, Title 25, Section 3510, Title 25, Section 3527, 52 U.S.C. 103.08.

Several residents who approached the microphone Wednesday accused Elise Marseglia of rolling her eyes during public comments.

One citizen took to the podium and told Ellis-Marseglia that it was difficult to believe his apology given his past statements and actions.

“You called all of us here all sorts of horrible names like ‘extremists,’ ‘MAGA extremists,’ ‘white Christian nationalists,’ and so on. The real you,” she said.

Conservative activist Scott Pressler also spoke at the meeting.

“We have a message: Peacefully, peacefully, if you don't resign today, we're coming to take your seat in 2027,” Pressler said. said.

Ellis-Marseglia repeatedly said during the meeting that he would not respond in the public comment section, but he did respond to Pressler by telling him, “Good luck.”

“I want you to know, I'm going to spend all of my time over the next three years in Bucks County to make sure we take this county back,” Pressler added.

Many attendees called for the commissioners to resign, and several called for criminal prosecution.

Ellis Marseglia, Harvey and Bucks County District Attorney Jennifer Shawn did not respond to requests for comment from Blaze News.
