A Florida mother whose 14-year-old daughter was found dead inside her home Wednesday night appeared grinning as police escorted her out for a walk, authorities said.
Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez said 33-year-old Kelsey Glover was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and gun after police officers found her chasing a witness inside her Poinciana home with a hammer. He was arrested earlier in the day on suspicion of
Witnesses told deputies they saw Glover in the bathtub holding his 14-year-old daughter's head down until she became unresponsive underwater. When she tried to stop Glover from harming her daughter, she said Glover chased her and began attacking her with a hammer.
Officers at the home attempted to save the unresponsive girl, later identified as Gisele Glover, but she was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Lopez said additional charges against Glover are pending the medical examiner's determination of the boy's cause of death.
“It's a dark day when something like this happens,” Lopez said at a news conference. “What happened to her was unimaginable and we are determined to get justice for Gisele.”

Lopez said there were four people in the home at the time of the incident: Glover, her daughter, another child and her roommate.
Lopez said Gisele Glover's father was not home at the time, adding that he was later informed of his daughter's death.

The circumstances leading to the boy's death are still under investigation. Lopez said Glover was “a little bit uncooperative.”

The sheriff said there was no history of domestic violence or calls involving the girl or her mother, but there was a previous incident in which Glover was accused of hitting her husband, the girl's father.

Lopez added that Glover had no history of mental illness that authorities were aware of.
