The ‘Suspect Challenge’ on ‘Inside the NBA’ shows why the show is so great

“Inside the NBA” has been hailed as the best studio show in sports television history. With TNT set to lose its NBA rights next year, it looked like this would be the last season for the staff, but the show received a lifeline from ESPN to continue on a new channel. Shaquille O'Neal still needs a new contractbut I feel like it's a miracle that “Inside'' hasn't disappeared in the end.

On Wednesday night, the “Inside” cast decided to take on the “Suspect Challenge.” This is the latest viral TikTok challenge, and it's already been adopted. Shows like Amazon's NFL Studio Show. If you're like me, you've never heard of the “Suspect Challenge” before. But perhaps no one can do that better than the “Inside the NBA” staff. The show's magical chemistry is on full display in this one-minute clip. Watch here:

Some of these jokes are well deserved. The gang accuses Charles Barkley of being overweight, Kenny Smith for not remembering anyone from his playing days, and Shaq for playing for so many teams by the end of his career. The delivery is great.

The corner goes off the rails when Barkley says it would be so tiring for Shaq to name all the kids. This would be inappropriate in any other context, but that's why this show works. This staff is the only one who can get away with saying things like this, and they consistently produce great television.

We're so lucky that “Inside the NBA” won't leave us forever. The NBA wouldn't be the same without it.
