Layer 1 blockchain Aptos (APT) has announced plans to integrate fintech giant Stripe’s payment services with its stablecoin USDC.

Stripe re-emerged in the cryptocurrency sector last month when it started supporting USDC payments. The payment giant previously allowed payments using Bitcoin (BTC) until 2018, but the company discontinued support due to the lack of usefulness of BTC as a payment method.
Aptos’ native token, APT, is trading at $11.98 at the time of writing. The crypto asset, which ranks 27th in terms of market capitalization, has fallen nearly 1% in the past 24 hours, but is up nearly 6.5% in the past week and more than 15.8% in the past month.
Despite the recent rally, APT is still down nearly 40% from its all-time high of $19.92 in January 2023.
