Man in India regains consciousness before his cremation on funeral pyre: reports

A 25-year-old man who was declared dead and about to be cremated this week in India has been found to be still alive by witnesses, according to reports.

According to the Times of India, 25-year-old deaf Rohitash Kumar was pronounced dead at a hospital in the northwestern Indian state of Rajasthan without a post-mortem examination.

After finding out that Kumar was alive after being cremated on Thursday afternoon, his family took him back to the hospital, where he reportedly died early Friday morning.

“The situation was truly miraculous,” a witness at the funeral site told local news outlet ETV Bharat. “We were all in shock. He was pronounced dead, but he was breathing and alive.”
