Along with her newly released memoir, Cher turns back time to reflect on her storied career, spill secrets, and address rumors that she was “difficult” to work.
In a new interview with Sunday Timesthe “Goddess of Pop” spoke candidly about the two projects she worked on as an actress, during which she did not consult with the film's directors.
“There are only two directors I dislike,” he says, referring to Peter Bogdanovich, with whom he worked on The Mask, and Frank Oz, who was previously set to direct, “the guy from The Muppets.” her 1990 film “Mermaid.''

Cher 'shocked' after discovering her real name was incorrect decades after she was born
Regarding Oz, Cher recalled giving him an ultimatum on the set of the 1990 film, which was ultimately directed by Richard Benjamin.
“I said either you go or I go. It's a shame because he's a really good coach, but he felt something for me,” Scheer said. “He said, 'At least my wife loves me!'”
Representatives for Oz did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.

Cher also had an affair with her 1985 co-star, the late Bogdanovich. Before his death in 2022, he said Cher was “the most difficult actor” he had ever worked with.
“He was one hell of a guy,” Scheer said of Bogdanovich. “He wasn't nice to the girls in the movie and was very arrogant. I really disliked him.”

But Bogdanovich was able to admit that perhaps Cher despised her because he despised her.
“She always looked like someone was cheating on her. One day when she came on set, I said, 'You're bringing me down, you're always You're so depressed that you act like someone is stealing something from you,''' Bogdanovic recalled.
Cher recalled her time on set in a different way, telling The Sunday Times: “He came over and said, 'Cher, where do you think we should shoot this scene? And I said, 'The kitchen is going really well, so why don't we do it again?' I arrived on set, ate an egg sandwich, and started screaming that they wouldn't let me direct this movie. “Listen to me, I'm really easy to work with,” Cher continued.
