Jaguar releases insufferably woke ad while Volvo promotes LIFE in new EX90 commercial

Some car brands have made their political leanings clear. For example, Jaguar recently released an ad that proves the company is more committed to DEI and LGBTQ+ causes than it is to selling its products.

Pat Gray stars in this commercial, in which a diverse group of people in neon avant-garde clothing do…well, nothing, at least something that doesn't have to do with cars. The situation is depicted.

Phrases such as “create vibrancy,” “come alive,” “remove the mundane,” “break the mold,” and “copy nothing” can be used to describe non-car-related activities such as spinning the car. overlaid with footage of strange, almost alien-like actors performing. Draw a circle while holding a paintbrush or swinging a sledgehammer.

Perhaps the strangest thing is the fact that the commercial doesn't feature a single car or auto-related product, making it clear what the company is selling. Awakened ideology, do not have car.

The company's ads are not only excruciatingly woke, but also excruciatingly stupid, like “U.S. sales are down 80% since 2017.” Given the company's trajectory down the woke path, these sales are likely to plummet even further.

“Last year, they moved only 8,000 vehicles while BMW and Mercedes moved 350,000. And instead of continuing to compete, they are trying to reinvent themselves.” says Jeffy.

“Well, this is a terrible restart,” Pat says the obvious.

But thankfully Volvo has also released a new commercial. It's “the exact opposite of Jaguar advertising.”

In this commercial, a couple learns they are having a baby. A father tells a story, imagining what will happen when his daughter is born. He foresees the challenges, joys, and fears that come with becoming a parent. He expects his daughter to be stubborn like her mother or a rule-bender like her father.

In the final scene, the pregnant wife is walking across the road when another car comes speeding down the road toward her, but it's a Volvo with built-in safety features. The accident was avoided and the mother and baby survived. Live. In the final scene, the entire family gathers at the hospital after the birth of the baby.

A tear-jerking commercial that captures the beauty of life and family. It's also an effective commercial because you can connect these ideas to buying a Volvo EX90.
