Jets leading running back Breece Hall missed Wednesday's practice and is a question mark for Sunday's game against the Seahawks at MetLife Stadium.
“Last week, he injured his knee during the game and was out of the game.” [against the Colts] We did well,” Jets interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich said Wednesday. “Last week he felt a little bit of pain. [during the bye] and there was a little pain [Tuesday]so we're going to protect him from himself a little bit.
“Let’s see how this week goes. [and are] I still hope he can play for us, but we'll see. ”
Hall rushed for 632 yards (4.2 yards average) and scored four rushing touchdowns.
He also caught 46 passes for 401 yards and two TDs.
In a 28-27 loss to the injured Colts, he rushed for 78 yards and a TD and caught seven passes for 43 yards and a TD.
Tyron Smith's season appears to be over.
The 33-year-old left tackle, who signed a one-year, $6.5 million contract in the offseason, appeared in the first 10 games of the season before missing last week's game with a neck injury.
Ulbrich said Wednesday that doctors were “still gathering information” about the injury, adding, “He will definitely be an IR candidate.”

If Smith, who played his first 13 seasons with the Cowboys, is placed on IR, it would certainly be the end of his season and, at his age, very likely the end of his career.
“We haven't seen enough improvement yet at this point, and it became really clear that we might have to do what's best for Tyrone in this way,” Ulbrich said. “He has some of the best doctors on the planet working with him.”
According to Ulbrich, right-hander Malachi Coley missed practice due to “bad weather.”
CB Quantez Stigers was absent due to personal reasons.
Veteran LB CJ Mosley, who has missed the past four games with a neck injury, practiced Wednesday and is expected to play Sunday unless there is a setback.
Mosley has missed seven of 11 games this season due to injury.
“He's going to try,” Ulbrich said. “I'll see how he looks and we'll practice.” [Wednesday] After it's full [Thursday] It's going to be a big test – put the pads on, make contact with him and see how he reacts to it. If things go well, which I hope they do, he will leave. Otherwise he wouldn't do it. ”
With the Jets out of playoff contention, Ulbrich was asked about the possibility of getting rookie QB Jordan Travis to do some work.
Travis suffered a serious foot injury while playing for Florida State University in November 2023 and has been rehabbing throughout the season.
“I don't know [if he’ll be able to play] At the moment, just because there have been some setbacks, [and] I don't think there's really any need to rush,” Ulbrich said. “We have to really protect this guy, because I think he has a real future. He's still working hard. He's good mentally and physically. in a state.
“I know it’s not going the way they thought it would. [he is] Still struggling with a few things here and there. But with a great attitude, great approach, he works here every day. ”
