When NFL Network's Ian Rapoport was asked what was the craziest place he's ever broken a story, he couldn't help but mention Adam Schefter's shocking sex story.
An ESPN NFL insider caused a stir last week when he said on Kevin Clark's “This is Football” podcast that the “weirdest place” he ever published a news story was after having sex with a woman in Denver. That's where he reported on Broncos games. time.
When asked a similar question in a recent Q&A on Reddit's r/NFL, Rapoport gave a very different answer.
“I wouldn't call it a bedroom,” Rapoport replied. “I actually love this. It's one of my favorite things about my job because news comes in from everywhere at any time. Chairlifts, car washes, Kentucky Derby, clubs, showers, pools, vacations.
“I was snorkeling in St. Thomas when Ryan Ramczyk signed a contract extension. With the internet, you can get the latest news from anywhere. If you don't answer the phone, they'll call me I expect them to respond every time. They're like, 'Why didn't you answer?'
Rapoport and the NFL posted a Q&A on their respective Instagram pages.
Snorkeling isn't nearly as intriguing as Schefter's shocking revelation last Wednesday.

“I remember being in Denver once,” Schefter said with a laugh. I was just spending time with this woman for the first time and received the following email: [former Broncos cornerback] Dale Carter suspended 8 games for substance abuse [in 2000].
“So I just kept lying there, checking it out, Kevin, and getting the job done in every way possible.”
Later Schefter Revealed in X Technically speaking, he announced the news “after'' having sex with the woman.
Later that day, Schefter told WEEI that his wife, Shari Maio, texted her about his remarks and said she “didn't like the story” that Schefter shared.
“I told you what I said, right?” he said, adding that he was “completely shocked” by how quickly his story had unfolded.
Since then, things have blown over.
“She's talking to me right now,” Schefter told WEEI a week later. “So if they want to make it a different headline, that's great.”
The Schefters married in 2007 and have a 15-year-old daughter, Dylan. Maio has a son, Devon, from a previous relationship.
