Twice divorced Jennifer Garner shares some marriage advice.

When the actress was asked about her “favorite quote or mantra” on a recent episode, Podcast “Lipstick on the Rim”she shared words of wisdom from her mother, Patricia Garner.

Jennifer, 52, told listeners on November 12: “Don't have high expectations of a man. Don't get married thinking you can change him.”

It's unclear if the “Alias” alum's subsequent joke about “needing to work on that” had anything to do with her past relationship, or if she stumbled over the quote.

Jennifer, who was married to Scott Foley from 2000 to 2004 and Ben Affleck from 2005 to 2018, went on to share more “vintage Pat Garner” quotes.

But, she said, “They all come from 'Little House on the Prairie' or 'Anne of Green Gables' or all of those Mrs. Ingallses.”

Two of the “13 Going on 30” star's favorites are “Crying may last all night, but joy comes in the morning” and “Happiness is your responsibility.”

Jennifer, who has been dating John Miller on and off since 2018, did not discuss either marriage during the episode.

She previously blamed Hollywood for the end of her and Foley's romance, and reflected that if it wasn't for her “life in the fast lane”, they “would probably still be together”.

As for her time with Affleck, Jennifer Participated in Vanity Fair In 2016, he called his Daredevil co-star a “complicated man.”

The Oscar winner is currently finalizing his second divorce after splitting from estranged wife Jennifer Lopez earlier this year.

The two were engaged from 2002 to 2004, but remarried in 2021, marking their second marriage.

Lopez flashed a big smile via Instagram as she shared a glimpse of how she'll be celebrating Thanksgiving without Affleck, writing in the caption that she's “incredibly grateful.”
