When CNN reporter Manu Raju pointed out that the campaign was a success and the Republicans won the election, Brown responded to his claims.

“Yes, but they're winning elections in part because they've rigged the system. They've made it harder to vote,” Brown argued. “They changed the wording on the ballot dramatically and harshly in the last election. They did it with abortion rights, and it didn't work in that case.”

When Mr. Raju asked whether Democrats were “out of sync” with Americans on this issue, Mr. Brown became furious.

“Yes, they spent all this money on you guys, on you guys, on you guys. One, don't you mention those issues? Two, you guys… Should I have fought back better?'' asked Raju. (Related: Exclusive: Red states paint grim picture in Supreme Court brief if men are allowed to compete in women's sports)

Mr. Brown replied, “It's not that I don't understand those issues at all.'' “When I go home, I always hear people's voices. I know how they focus on groups and lie. I mean, if they're lying about the issue, why contact them?” Are you saying you can't get it?”

In Ohio, President-elect Donald Trump won with 55.2% of the vote and Harris with 43.9%. Republicans will gain a total of four seats in the Senate in the 2024 election, including seats held by Democratic Sen. Bob Casey of Pennsylvania and independent Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia.
