The Raiders were just one step away from trying to pull off another upset over the Chiefs.
Trailing 19-17 with less than 20 seconds left in the game, Raiders center Jackson Powers-Johnson, who was within field goal range, snapped the ball to quarterback Aidan O'Connell before he was ready.
The ball bounced off O'Connell's chest and ended up in the hands of the Chiefs, clinching the victory and clinching a playoff spot for Kansas City.
The Raiders entered this game trailing by 13.5 points, and if they had won the game, it would have been the biggest upset of the season.
With this win, the Chiefs improved to 11-1 and have made it a habit of winning close games this season.

Nine of the 11 wins were by one point.
Friday's contest took place less than a year after the Raiders shockingly defeated the Chiefs in Kansas City on Christmas Day 2023.
The Chiefs have won eight straight regular season home games since losing to the Raiders last Christmas.
