Commanders, Titans players get into heated kerfuffle amid early domination

The Washington Commanders took control from the start in Sunday's Week 13 game against the Tennessee Titans, taking a 21-0 lead in the first quarter.

After one point after the kick, Commanders and Titans players had to be separated as tensions escalated. Titans defensive lineman Jeffrey Simmons and Commanders offensive lineman Sam Cosmi are believed to be the two players primarily involved in the incident.

“We're starting to see some shades of Michigan and Ohio State now,” CBS broadcaster Andrew Carleton said, referring to the incident that occurred after Saturday's game between the rivals.

Washington already led 21-0 in the first quarter.

Washington scored on its second touchdown pass from Daniels to McLaurin in the second quarter.

The managers were hoping to keep pace with the Philadelphia Eagles and take the lead in the NFC East. Washington lost in a shootout at home to the Dallas Cowboys last week. They entered the game against the Titans on a three-game losing streak.

Tennessee is having a tough season and will likely be the organization's top draft pick by the end of this season.

The Titans have won two of their last seven games and three overall. They upset the Houston Texans last week to end a two-game losing streak.
