Tony Finau to LIV Golf rumors in full swing after Hero World Challenge withdrawal

Perhaps Tony Finau will end up joining LIV Golf.

Finau had originally committed to compete in this week's Hero World Challenge, a 20-man event hosted by Tiger Woods every December, but withdrew at the last minute for undisclosed reasons. of PGA TOUR Communications Team Releases Latest Fields Finau was replaced on Monday morning by 2023 Ryder Cup player Sepp Straka.

This has led many to speculate about Finau's affinity with the Saudi support circuit. Of course, at this time last year, Jon Rahm jumped ship to LIV Golf and did so live on air wearing a LIV letterman jacket. Rumors between Rahm and LIV continued for days in the weeks leading up to the announcement, but it was finally confirmed to the world on December 7, 2023, that the PGA Tour had signed a framework agreement with LIV. It wasn't a bad season per se, as he qualified for the Tour Championship at Eastlake. Finau also made 20 of 22 shots, but was unable to reach the winner's circle. The Utah native has turned down offers from LIV Golf in the past, but The LIV circle indicates the finau. He will join Rahm's Region XIII team ahead of the 2025 season. No one knows if this will actually happen, but given the timing of Finau's departure and the fact that Lahm joined LIV last December, this speculation certainly has some weight.
