The Boston Division of the FBI and the Maine State Police are offering a $15,000 reward for help in the search for a teenage girl who was last seen two months ago.
Stephanie Damron, 14, of New Sweden, Maine, was reported missing by her family on September 24th. She was last seen leaving her home the day before and going into the woods on West Road in New Sweden.
At a press conference Monday, authorities said it is not unusual for girls to run away from home.
“The FBI hopes this reward will encourage anyone with information about Stephanie's whereabouts to come forward,” said Jodi Cohen, special agent in charge of the FBI's Boston Division, in a statement. It could be helpful.” “Stephanie's family wants to know where she is, and we are committed to using all investigative resources available to law enforcement to assist them in locating Stephanie and bringing her home.”

Stephanie is described as Caucasian with green eyes and shoulder-length brown hair. She is approximately 5 feet tall and weighs approximately 130 pounds. She is being homeschooled and has limited access to social media, authorities said.
At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing blue jeans, a blue long-sleeved shirt, and black Harley-Davidson hiking boots.

Investigators followed leads in Maine, the United States and Canada.
“Maine State Police remains steadfast in investigating Stephanie's disappearance. We are pursuing every lead, no matter how small, to find her,” Maine State Police Col. William Ross said in a statement. Ta. “We deeply appreciate the FBI's assistance as we continue to urge anyone with information to come forward. Your information could be the key to solving this case and providing answers to Stephanie's family. I don’t know.”
