Taylor Lorenz, former newspaper reporter washington postwent on an expletive-filled rant on social media, accusing people who weren't wearing masks of “tainting the atmosphere.”
Lorenz went on a rant from her Blue Sky account, talking about her recent book release in which she spent thousands of dollars of her own money to fight the coronavirus.
“I love it when people found a photo of me removing my mask for five seconds to take a photo outside at my book party where everyone in attendance had to take a PCR test, as a kind of catchphrase.” she said.
“Planning a coronavirus-safe book launch took months and cost me thousands of dollars to ensure testing, outdoor space, deep UV light, and a series of other precautions. ” she continued. “Meanwhile, you idiots are gobbling up the outside air and spreading your disease-laden breath to your elderly neighbors. We're not the same.”
I love it when people find a photo of me taking off my mask for 5 seconds outside to take a photo at my book party where everyone in attendance had to take a PCR test, as a kind of gotcha. Well, if precautions are taken at all events and public places, high-risk people can safely remove their masks for the occasional photo.

According to new york postLorenz's rant came as a “response to the backlash she received online after she shared a number of posts about the virus early Monday,” some of which included coronavirus denialism and It included one about how the government was “deliberately” trying to downplay the “ongoing” pandemic.
After several Blue Sky accounts trolled Lorenz's views, she said she wears a mask in public because she has a weakened immune system.

“Oh, MAGA weirdos and COVID deniers found my post. I'm severely immunocompromised. I have the immune system of someone undergoing chemotherapy. We are constantly in and out of the hospital. There is a pandemic going on, wear a mask and stop harassing people with disabilities,” she concluded.
