Marvel actor says he is ‘homeless at 17’ and has been ‘sleeping on the streets’

Marvel actor Jacques Viele has revealed that he struggled with homelessness at the age of 17.

The British actor, who played the younger version of Tom Hiddleston's titular character Loki in Season 1 of the Disney+ series Loki, detailed his plight in a TikTok video posted on Monday. Mr Veale revealed that he had been “sleeping on the streets” after leaving home following the alleged abuse and was now living in a “trailer house” in London.

“Hello. I'm a famous actor. I'm 17 years old and I'm homeless,” Veale told fans at the beginning of the clip.

He continued, “I haven't talked much about what's going on in my life, but I think it's time to reveal the truth.'' Without going into too many details, I said, “I was being abused at home.'' It was physical violence and emotional abuse.” And so on. ”

“I didn't have a very good education,” he added. “I struggle with my mental health. I have autism and ADHD, and have been tested for bipolar disorder and psychosis.”

“My grandfather is terminally ill, so I can't stay with him. I need help because I have nowhere else to go.”

Mr Veal claimed he sought help from social services and explained his situation, but was “refused” to provide assistance.

“I'm hopeless,” he said. “I was sleeping on the street.”

“I'm currently sleeping in a dangerous trailer with broken windows. I'm two hours away from work, which means it's difficult to get to work every day,” said Veal, who is currently employed as a personal trainer. continued. .

“It's difficult,” he added. “Life is hard. At the moment I have nothing else. I want to share this with you all, do something and spread the message about how the government is treating children. Please, I’m on my knees begging you.”

Veal then panned the camera to show viewers the cramped room he currently resides in, showing where he keeps his few belongings and a small bedroom. “It's getting cold, but we're enduring it,” the actor said as he set aside a wooden board to show fans the broken window of his trailer.

Veal also noticed there was no electricity in the trailer, so he held up a portable charger that he was using as a power source.

At the end of the video, Veer directly addressed his fans and asked them to help raise awareness about his difficult situation.

“Please share it. Share it with everyone you can,” he said of the video. “You don't have to pay me anything. I don't need anything. I just want you to spread the word as much as possible.”

“We will continue to announce things, but we need help,” Veal added.

Veal's post was flooded with supportive comments from TikTok users who offered advice about shelter and support options, shared personal experiences with homelessness, and sent well wishes. Several commenters offered to let the actor stay in their spare bedroom.

In a follow-up video shared late Monday, Veal is seen walking to work as he thanks his fans, and says that thanks to their help he was able to sleep at a friend's house for the night. . He also expressed gratitude to his fans for offering to shelter him in their homes, but added: “The aim here is to get help from the people who should be providing it: social services. It's a thing,” he explained.

“I'll never have stability in my life if I fly from place to place,” he said. “That's why I need what I have now. I need stability.”

On Tuesday, Veal posted another video in which he said he was returning to his mobile home after spending the night at a “warm and nice” friend's house.

“I’m sleeping in my trailer tonight,” he said. “It's getting colder. Things are getting more difficult. I'm putting pressure on social services, but there's no promise of what's going to happen.”

Late Tuesday, Veal uploaded another video in which she appeared teary-eyed but smiling as she shared the positive developments in her ordeal.

“Social services called me and said they wanted to meet me tomorrow to potentially place me in foster care, support or accommodation,” he said. “I don't know what you guys did, but it got out there and it really, really helped. They're taking action now.”
