Former Ohio State star Cameron Heyward pays off Michigan bet in brutal way: ‘I feel like an idiot’

Ohio State University graduate Cameron Heyward bet on last week's Ohio State-Michigan game, one of the biggest upsets of the season, in which the Buckeyes lost 13-10.

The upset wasn't enough to keep the Buckeyes out of the College Football Playoff, but Heyward probably didn't care.

While speaking with reporters this week, Hayward reluctantly put on his Michigan State cap to settle the stakes.

Roman Wilson, a veteran and rookie teammate with the Pittsburgh Steelers who played a big role in the Wolverines' national championship last year, is taking a gamble.

“That was terrible,” Hayward said.

To make matters worse, the bet was Heyward's idea, which makes sense considering the Buckeyes were a three-touchdown favorite.

“I feel like an idiot because I approached him,” Hayward said.

Let's hope Wilson and Hayward don't get into a fistfight like the players on the field in Columbus.

After the game, Michigan players attempted to plant a UM flag at midfield, but many Buckeyes took exception to this.

The incident led to a scuffle between the two teams, and police used pepper spray to break up the situation.

It was a storybook ending to a disappointing season for the Wolverines, who finished 7-5. The bright side for OSU is that they are still in the hunt for a national championship.
