Political analyst and best-selling author Mark Halperin said President Biden's presidential library could become more “mobile” as donors rage over his loss.
Weeks later, Democrats are still reeling from President-elect Donald Trump's loss in the 2024 election and the recent full pardon of Biden's son Hunter Biden. The latest pardon is particularly controversial because Biden appears to have hidden his intent to do so as a political tactic in his opposition to Trump.
As a result, President Biden appears to have fallen from the Democratic Party's favor, with some disgruntled Democrats considering withholding President Biden's future presidential library donations over Hunter's pardon. It is reported that there are.
Halperin suggested to Fox News' Jesse Watters that Biden may not be able to get a full-fledged library as a result.
Political analyst Mark Halperin argued that Biden's hopes for the library could be dashed by a lack of donor support.
Biden twice said he would not forgive his son Hunter Biden
“So there are probably some versions that are more like mobile books than actual libraries,” he told Watters. “But this is not surprising. Donors are really frustrated because he was never a good fundraiser.”
Halperin argued that donors themselves bear some of the blame, along with the liberal media.
“But I would like to say that the donors and Democratic officials who are now outraged by this behavior — as you said, the press knew all about this — they were too.” spoke. “They were silent when Joe Biden's operatives crushed Bobby Kennedy and Dean Phillips and rigged the rules. They were silent when he stayed in the race and decided to run again. They were silent when Kamala Harris was given the nomination without reservation.
Halperin suggested this may be a time for reflection for Democrats.
“I understand why they're angry at Joe Biden, but I think a lot of people need to turn back the clock and imagine what would have happened if they had acted differently. Then… “Joe Biden may be able to raise money,” he said. “So, I think he'll raise some money. But like I said, he's never been a good fundraiser. It's the kind of job he doesn't want to do, and the donors are I blame him more than us.”

Hunter Biden says his mistake was 'exploited' as a political sport, and says he won't forgive it as a matter of course
Halperin argued that Biden's alleged mental decline has been evident since 2017, but that a combination of factors has shielded him from criticism.
“It's a combination of Trump derangement syndrome and not wanting to be ostracized for doing something that might help Donald Trump win,” Halperin said. “Ironically, there are many reasons why Joe Biden remains in his current position and why Donald Trump was re-elected, but a big reason is media silence. This is one of America's biggest scandals. I think it's a scandal of all kinds in American history, certainly one of the biggest media scandals.”

He continued, “People say, 'Oh, they didn't see behind the scenes.' All it takes is a C-SPAN subscription to know that there's some level of mental decline, and they shut up.” ” he said. “Not only the press, but the donors were spending time with him in the living room. They saw it, and eventually Clooney came out and said yes, but it was too late.”
