Trump Meets with Prince William in Paris After Notre Dame Reopening

Shortly after the historic reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral on Saturday, President-elect Donald Trump stopped by the British ambassador's residence in Paris and met with the Prince of Wales.

Margo Martin, deputy director of communications for President Trump's 2024 campaign, shared a video of Prince William welcoming Trump as he entered the official residence.

“This is a good man,” Trump told reporters after shaking hands, gesturing toward the prince.

He also said Prince William was “doing an amazing job”.

Then the two sat down for a conversation. The BBC reported early Saturday that the Prince of Wales and the president-elect were scheduled to discuss the importance of the “special relationship” between the United States and Britain.

They shared a few hours earlier at the famous Notre Dame Cathedral, which is undergoing a major reopening after a devastating fire nearly five years ago.

Trump has always spoken highly of the royal family and shared his memories of his late mother, Mary Ann McLeod Trump. His closeness to the late Queen Elizabeth. President Trump praised the accomplishments of Queen Elizabeth II, who died in 2022, calling her “a great woman, a great queen, and someone who will be sorely missed.”

This high rating stands in contrast to President Joe Biden, who frequently emphasizes his Irish roots and is seen as critical of Britain.

But Britain's New Left government has a long history of disrespecting Trump, so there may be more to the relationship than Trump's respect for the royals.

For example, Breitbart News' London bureau chief Oliver J.J. Lane reported that Britain's top diplomat, David Lammy of the left-wing Labor Party, has long disdained the president-elect.

When challenged over the years for his comments and writings about Donald Trump, his comments included calling him and his administration “misogynist, neo-Nazi-sympathizing sociopaths,” “dangerous clowns,” and “racists.” “KKK sympathizers, corrupt and corrupt human beings,” it included. Morally bankrupt, Lamy said he didn't recant, but he now sees things from a different perspective. The most interesting thing is that he told the BBC: I didn't know it then, but I know it now, but it's true. ”

President Trump also spent much of Saturday with French President Emmanuel Macron, meeting at the Elysée Palace.. le figaro It is reported that Trump was given a “grand reception by members of the Republican Guard at the Presidential Palace.''

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy also attended the meeting.

President Trump met with many other world leaders as the cathedral reopened.
