Ex-Yankee Gary Sanchez signs one-year, $8.5M deal with Orioles

Gary Sanchez has a new home, and it's one of the Yankees' biggest rivals.

Sanchez and the Baltimore Orioles agreed to a one-year, $8.5 million contract on Saturday night. The Post's Jon Heyman reports.

The club has not approved this contract.

Sanchez played for the Brewers last season, hitting .220 with 11 home runs and 37 RBIs in 89 games.

The veteran catcher, who is entering his 11th MLB season, is a hitter with a career batting average of .224, 184 home runs, and 485 RBIs.

Sanchez, 32, played seven seasons with the Yankees from 2015 to 2021, hitting .220 with 138 home runs and 340 RBIs.

In 2022, Sanchez played for the Twins and Mets. During his time with the Queens, Sanchez appeared in just three games with the Amazons after a lengthy stint with Triple-A Syracuse.
